Locally Listed: Top Five Pumpkin Spice Destinations

by Kaylee Stinebiser

Let’s be real — the pumpkin spice latte is Autumn’s mascot. It’s true that, in recent years, they’ve become somewhat of a cliche used to judge people for being unoriginal and “basic” (a fact that I disagree with because there are plenty of things that “everybody” does that aren’t considered cliche. I’m looking at you, Fortnite players. You do you, and I’ll drink my pumpkin spice.). It’s hard to deny the fact that pumpkin spice lattes just make your tongue do a happy dance.

If pumpkin spice lattes are your #1 pal this Autumn, here’s a list of the best places to get one.

1) Dunkin’ Donuts — 1295 S Main St, Greensburg

I’m a Dunkin’ supporter through and through. PS lattes (and pumpkin-flavored coffee, for that matter) are cheap and affordable, and they always taste great. Plus, if you pay with the mobile app, you earn points that translate to free drinks. It’s a win for today and a win for tomorrow.

*Please note: I’m recommending the Dunkin’ on 119, where my order is always correct and tastes like happiness in a cup. The Dunkin’ on Route 30 can be a hit-or-miss on any given day.

2) White Rabbit Cafe and Patisserie — 113 N Main St, Greensburg

White Rabbit is a cozy, comfortable place to get any kind of coffee-related caffeine. If you’re looking for a place to sit down with your latte and do some work, read a book, listen to music, etc., this is the place for you.

3) Starbucks — 5124 State Route 30, Greensburg

As I said before, Dunkin’ is my go-to, but Starbucks knows how to do pumpkin spice. This is a great option if you’re looking for a classic and traditional PSL.

4) Aroma Joe’s — 891 N Greengate Rd, Greensburg

This is a great little pitt stop for pumpkin spice. The prices are mid-to-average, somewhere between Dunkin’ and Starbucks’ prices, and the coffee always tastes great. It’s a little out of the way from campus, but it’s worth the stop if you find yourself passing by.

5) Sun Dawg Cafe — 37 N Main St, Greensburg

If you want a satisfying breakfast at a reasonable price along with your latte, consider Sun Dawg cafe. It’s a warm environment with awesome food. The parking situation can sometimes be a struggle, so carpool with your best pals and have a breakfast feast with your pumpkin spice.
