Play Your Heart Out: “Grand Theft Auto 7”

“Grand Theft Auto 7”’s release on March 21, shows us that Rockstar Games still has a few cards up their sleeves. I give this game a perfect 10 out of 10.

First, the graphics are near photorealistic. It was leaked that Rockstar North was using real actors like they normally do but with higher resolution textures. The only downside to that is the game takes up a whopping 190 GB of space if you’re downloading the digital copy and 160 GB space if you’re playing off the disc.

Again, like “Grand Theft Auto 6,” there are three main protagonists but with completely different character profiles than in “GTA 6.” The story takes place in Western Ohio, and then moves to New York, and then Alaska.

After hitching a ride on a train, the first character, Michael, decides to hop on a different train that has automobiles on it, and the player gets to drive away in a long police chase in a sports car. This sets up the story for all three playable characters. It was rumored that the story part of the game takes over 100 hours to finish.

This is one of the best-looking games on the Xbox Series X and Playstation 5. I played the Xbox Series X version which runs at 160 frames per second at 4k. The animation is very good and smooth.

This game is a great game, a fun game, and a time consuming game that is worth the hours sunk into it.
