Those Are Your Clowns, and This is Your Circus: “Carnival Daze” on Campus Thursday, April 23

Hosted by SAB, Pitt-Greensburg Carnival Daze will take place on Thursday, April 23 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Chambers Lawn. 

There will be many carnival-themed attractions for this fun-filled event, such as carnival games, an inflatable obstacle course, balloon animals, and more. There will also be Kona Ice, freshly-squeezed lemonade, funnel cake, and cotton candy.

Aidan Riley, resident director for activities and first year experience, gave some background on the event itself and shared the mission behind it.

“SAB hopes to end the year with a big event that students will remember. SAB used to have two Up All Night events, one in the Fall and one in Spring, but we decided it was time to shake things up a few years ago,” said Riley. “Now, the Daze events, Carnival Daze this year, are our next iteration of this event. We hope to get students as engaged as possible before finals start.”

Riley also shared why he thinks events like these are important to have for students, especially during finals week.

“These types of events are important for students because they allow them a chance to take a step back from the stress of finals and do something enjoyable,” said Riley. “I hope that this event will help students smile and have fun, even though finals are right around the corner.”
