Spring Fling Far From 1920’s Theme
by Jenna Aleski
Saturday April 2, 2016 was SAB’s Annual Spring Fling. It was held in the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, which was the first time SAB has chosen this venue.
This Great Gatsby theme was the icing on the top of a beautiful carefree night. Throughout the enchanted evening, a handful of people’s feet never left the dance floor, but shockingly the music didn’t match the Gatsby theme once during the night.
A surprising plus that upheld the evening was the photo booth. It made a beautiful keepsake to remember the evening.
Maura Barron, a sophomore Biology major said “The food and music was amazing, but the crab cakes were exquisite.” The dance offered a catered buffet by Sun Dawg Café and Happy Camper Cupcakes that tingled all of our taste buds that night. The food was so elegant and delicious you couldn’t help but go up for thirds.
As the spring fling slowly arrived to the end the snow began to fall outside. In the words of F. Scott Fitzgerald “Never miss a party… good for the nerves–like celery.”
