New Life Sciences Building At UPG In Photos

The skills lab features a classroom-like section in the center, surrounded by stations for hands-on studies. (Photo Courtesy of Florence Zhang) The building also offers many features built to encourage student gatherings and collaboration, such as small seating areas scattered around. (Photo Courtesy of Florence Zhang) New equipment is set to arrive, featuring a simulation lab complete with a control room and an advanced mannequin that is able to be programmed. A room dedicated to practicing telehealth is also in progress. (Photo Courtesy of Florence Zhang) Courses for biology, chemistry, and biochemistry are offered in the new facility. Large windows are a key feature, allowing for more sunlight and an elevated atmosphere. (Photo Courtesy of Florence Zhang) “The building is a nice addition, and I think it attracts more people,” Jenny Wang, a senior chemistry major, says. Students believe it is a nice and quiet work environment, with convenient features like the charging outlets on the tables.
