Men’s Basketball Team Bounces Back After the 2018-19 Season

After a 7-18 campaign in the 2018-19 season, Pitt-Greensburg Men’s Basketball turned things around substantially this season, ending with a 15-3 record as the team begins its final push towards the AMCC playoffs.

The Bobcats had a standout performance on Jan. 7 against Penn College, where the offense put up a season-high 103 points. They also made 40 field goals, 20 of which were from three-point territory.
Team leaders in terms of points scored are Matt Johnson with 304, Jojo France with 274, and Cam Seigfreid with 231. France also scored a team-high 28 points against Franciscan.
Matt Johnson was also named AMCC Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 2 through Dec. 8. In two games during that week, he averaged 23 points and guided the Bobcats to two victories.
The second-place Bobcats are one game behind LaRoche College and will begin their playoff push Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the first round of the AMCC playoffs.
