Kelsey Oddis, a sophomore psychology major, was selected as our female athlete of the month. Oddis plays basketball for the women’s team. Oddis said she fell in love with the sport when she was younger so she continues to play today. Her favorite part of basketball is her teammates. At the game against D’Youville, Oddis scored 16 points and tied the school record of 24 rebounds in a single game.
“The whole season is my favorite memory.” Oddis said.
Rocco Contristano III, a senior management major, was selected as the male athlete of the month. Contristano plays basketball for the men’s team. He says that he plays the sport because he loves the game and his teammates. Contristano is currently third place all-time in points in Pitt-Greensburg history with his scoring of 25 points in the 84-80 victory over Mount Aloysius.
“My favorite memory of the season is yet to be made,” Contristano said. He hopes that his favorite memory will be the Bobcats winning the Conference Tournament and making it into the NCAA tournament at the end of the season.
