Bobcats Ice Hockey Update

This past weekend in the “Rumble in Richmond Tournament”, the Bobcats left with a 7-3 win against Bloomsburg University and a 10-3 win against the home team, University of Richmond.
In the Bloomsburg matchup, Pitt-Greensburg came back from a 0-2 deficit with goals from Nico Vecchio (3), Dan Merz (2), Johnathan Herchko, and DJ Petrovay. Goaltender Ryan Palonis got the win while making 32 saves. With this victory, the Bobcats improved to 18-2-0.
In the University of Richmond matchup, Pitt-Greensburg’s goals came from Anthony Maroadi (2), Merz (3), Vecchio, Dante Youhon, Isaac Shannon, and Luc Tilley. Freshman Tom Clark was in net this time around, and made 20 saves as he led the Bobcats to victory.
Three games were originally scheduled for the weekend, but the Loyola University game was cancelled.
On a side note, freshman forward Mike Klena is out for the remainder of the season with an injury, and freshman forward Nathan Winebrenner will no longer be with the team as he has transferred from the University.
