On Feb. 17 at 6 p.m., Pitt-Greensburg’s Athletics Department held a special ceremony for the inaugural class of the “Pitt-Greensburg Athletics Hall of Fame” in Chambers Hall. The first class had seven inductees, which consisted of five individuals and two teams.
Jen (McIntosh) Luciew, Jason Trout, Matt Furjanic, Carol Gelet, and Dan Swalga were the five individuals inducted into the Hall of Fame, and the two teams inducted were the 2002 men’s soccer team and 1969-1970 men’s basketball team.
The Athletics Department posted a press release on their website introducing the ceremony.
“These inductees include some of the most decorated athletes, coaches and teams to ever take the field or court here at Pitt-Greensburg,” the department said.
