Pitt-Greensburg Celebrates 2020 Graduates

Pitt-Greensburg held an in-person commencement ceremony for the class of 2020 in the Chambers Hall Gymnasium on Oct. 2. About 200 students and guests attended the event.
The University held a virtual ceremony for the graduates last year due to the pandemic but wanted to offer an in-person event now that COVID-19 restrictions have eased. A recording of the ceremony is available online here.

Miranda Smith, who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in communications, talks with family before the ceremony. Daniel Birdseye, who earned a Bachelor of Science in management accounting, waits for the ceremony to begin with his family. Casey Fortuna, who graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education and english literature, adjusts her cap outside Chambers Hall. Courtney Cambal, who graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors and a Bachelor of Science in secondary education, talks with family before the ceremony. Her cap reads: “I just finished the most wonderful story.” Cambal and her guests clap as the ceremony begins. Dr. Jacqueline Horrall, vice president of the Office of Academic Affairs, and Pitt-Greensburg President Dr. Robert Gregerson enter the Chambers Hall Gymnasium to deliver their opening remarks.
