When people think of Batman, the first villain that often comes to mind is the Joker. The Joker stands as the foil to Batman. His morals contradict everything Batman stands for, and Batman will do whatever it takes to stop him from harming the citizens of Gotham. With Joker’s maniacal mannerisms and sinister tricks, there is truly not a more terrifying enemy for Batman.
“The Batman Who Laughs” is a comic book that was released in 2019. This comic book combines that dark-style of writing of Scott Snyder with the gruesome, detailed illustrations of Jock. Currently, the book has a 4.5 out of 5 stars on Amazon from over two hundred reviews.
The comic book features a new foe for Batman: The Batman Who Laughs. The Batman Who Laughs combines the strategy and combat techniques of Batman with the attitude and morals of the Joker.
The Batman Who Laughs was initially introduced in the comic series Dark Nights: Metal which was also written by Scott Snyder in 2018. The series explains The Batman Who Laughs comes from a dark multiverse that contains several “Nightmare Batmen”.
This comic book will leave readers entertained throughout the entire story. The Batman Who Laughs pushes Batman to his limits. Batman must forge unlikely alliances and think of strategies that can match his own intellect. Will Batman succeed and save the day? Or is a Batman who laughs a Batman who always wins?
