In her third season, Coach Hayley Schaetzle led her team to a 16-9 record and clinched the first Women’s Basketball playoff berth since the 2015-16 season.

One year ago, the Bobcat’s Women’s Basketball team were wrapping their season up as they failed to reach the AMCC Playoffs, and they did not repeat that this year.

The Bobcats’ offense tore the court up Nov. 11 against CCNY, where they scored 88 points, followed by a game on Feb. 5, where they put up 85 points.

Junior Nadege Durand led the offense with 374 points during the regular season, while Junior Shaquoia McCray helped the offense and defense by grabbing 245 total rebounds.

Durand scored her 1,000th career point on Senior Day, becoming the 13th player to accomplish the feat in Pitt-Greensburg history.

Colleen Murphy stands as the lone senior on the team.

The Women’s Bobcats started their playoff run with a home game on Tuesday, Feb. 25 against Penn State Behrend.

In the semifinal round of the AMCC Tournament, playing against La Roche College, the Bobcats lost 54-60. The team’s 17-10 record is the best it’s seen since their 2014-2015 season, according to pittgreensburgathletics.com.
