The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg will be hosting their annual Blue & Gold Celebration 2019 which is scheduled to run from Sept. 27 through Oct. 10. To kick off the celebration on Friday, the University will host the 20th annual Pitt-Greensburg Golf Outing at Westmoreland Country Club. Registration is currently open online and available to the public.

Additionally, Friday will mark the beginning of Pitt-Greensburg’s Art Show exhibition which is slated to run throughout the duration of the Blue & Gold Celebration.

The Art Show is intended to showcase artistic talent in the campus community, in addition to that of residences within southwestern Pennsylvania. Additional submission guidelines are available online for those who are interesting in submitting original artwork. Artwork that is submitted will be subject to voting, which will open Sept. 27 and close on Oct. 4.

There will be a reception held to announce the winners of the Art Show at a Founders’ Day celebration, which celebrates the history and evolution of the school while looking to a bright future of providing an excellent education to students. The event is scheduled for Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public. Light refreshments will be available.

The celebration will culminate with a weekend of on-campus events starting Oct. 4. Friday night will host the Academic Village 20th Anniversary and the bonfire on Chambers Lawn, as well as the Founders’ Day Art Show reception.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, a multitude of events will be held which include pancakes, soccer games, baseball games, a classic car cruise, the Blue & Gold Festival, a stained glass tour of Lynch hall, an Alumni celebration dinner, and a casino night in Chambers Hall which is followed by the Homecoming Dance.
