Locally Listed: Top 5 Pizza Places That Deliver
by Kaylee Stinebiser
I suppose I should speak for myself here (though I suspect that many of you will agree with me), but I don’t often enjoy leaving my house. When it’s cold, when it’s snowy, when it’s dark at 5:30 p.m., I don’t want to go outside.
But I also like to eat, even when it’s cold, when it’s snowy, or when it’s dark.
The obvious solution is, of course, pizza!
To help you satisfy your hunger without having to leave your house, apartment, or residence hall, here’s a list of my top five best places that deliver pizza right to your doorstep.
Rocco’s Pizzeria ~ Youngwood
Rocco’s Pizzeria stuffs a lot of flavor into their thin crusts. I love it when the cheese on my pizza stiffens up before I eat it, and Rocco’s does that perfectly. And the owner of the shop is a very nice guy, so I love supporting this local business.
Giannilli’s (both I and II) ~ Greensburg
Obviously, Giannilli’s makes a lot of different Italian food, but their pizza always flawless. They have a four-cut pizza that comes with a side salad (or fries, if you’re not into that healthy stuff), and it’s all at a generally reasonable price.
Bubba’s ~ Greensburg
Bubba’s also makes more than just pizza, but they do pizza very well. They have a nice variety of toppings available. The pizza sauce is a little on the sweeter side, though, so beware if that’s not really your thing.
Pizza Hut ~ Greensburg
I’ll be honest: sometimes I crave Pizza Hut just for the breadsticks. They’re so parmesan-y and garlic-y and delicious. You know what I’m talking about.
Gino’s Pizza Lynch Field ~ Greensburg
Gino’s also uses a sweet sauce, but the dough is more salty than most, so it balances out well. This is a good choice for splitting a pizza with your roommates or friends.
