Police Blotter: September 11, 2014 – October 7, 2014

Thursday, September 11

9:30 a.m. – Pitt police issued a citation for forcible rape and a violation of liquor laws that occurred off-campus. A resident female student reported a sexual assault at an off-campus, private residence by a known acquaintance who is not a Pitt student. The investigation continued.

Friday, September 12

1:00 p.m. – Pitt police issued citations for assault and disorderly conduct. A female student reported harassment from an ex-lover who is a non-student. Ryan Michael Senko was arrested and charged with harassment and harassment by communication. A persona non grata was issued.

Saturday, September 13

2:34 p.m. – Pitt police issued citations for a violation of liquor laws at Robertshaw. An underage resident-student was found to be consuming and in possession of an alcoholic beverage and was arrested and charged with underage drinking.

Tuesday, September 16

3:30 p.m. – Pitt police issued a citation for vandalism at the College Hall on the third floor at the study room. Maintenance personnel report a t-shirt having been stuffed into a vent, which then became trapped in a blower motor. There was no damage, and investigation continues.

11:34 p.m. – Pitt police issued a citation for assault. A resident-student reported harassment from another resident-student at Westmoreland Hall. No contact orders were issued. The case was closed.

Wednesday, September 17

5:00 p.m. – Pitt police issued a citation for other offenses. A resident-student reported having been unknowingly recorded by roommates. The victim refused prosecution. The incident was cleared.

Thursday, September 18

11:50 p.m. – Pitt police issued a citation for other offenses. The C.S.A. reports a student under the legal age of twenty-one possessing alcohol in a residence hall. The case was cleared.

11:52 p.m. – Pitt police issued a citation for weapons. A non-student was found to be in possession of a firearm inside a residence hall at the University Courts. A non-student was banned from campus indefinitely. The case was closed.

11:52 p.m. – Pitt police issued citations for disorderly conduct, drunkenness, a violation of liquor laws, and sex offenses at the University Courts. A resident-student was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Another resident-student was found to be underage and under the influence of alcohol. One resident student was arrested for disorderly conduct, and the other was arrested for underage drinking. All of these activities occurred in a residence hall.

Monday, September 22

12:04 a.m. – Pitt police issued a citation for disorderly conduct and other offenses at the University Courts. A “persona non grata” non-student was found to be in a residence hall and was arrested for defiant trespass.

Saturday, September 27

11:06 p.m. – Pitt police issued citations for disorderly conduct, larceny-theft, stolen property, vandalism, and other offenses. A resident-student reported items stolen from a car, headlights left on in the vehicle at Powers Lane. Investigation continued.

Sunday, September 28

1:05 a.m. – Pitt police issued citations for disorderly conduct and a violation of liquor laws. Resident-students were found to be in possession of small amounts of marijuana and paraphernalia. Charges were pending.

Tuesday, September 30

12:10 a.m. – Pitt police issued citations for drug abuse, sale, and possession. A resident-student at the University Courts was found to be in possession of small amounts of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia. Investigation continued.

Thursday, October 2

3:30 p.m. – Pitt police issued a citation for disorderly conduct. A resident-student was found to be smoking marijuana in a residence hall and was arrested.

12:18 a.m. – Pitt police issued citations for violations of liquor laws and other offenses. A resident-student was found to be in possession of marijuana paraphernalia at the University Courts and was arrested.

Friday, October 3

10:45 p.m. – Pitt police issued citations for disorderly conduct and violation of liquor laws. Resident-students were found to be possessing marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia, providing alcohol to underage persons, and underage drinking. Charges were pending.

Tuesday, October 7

5:48 p.m. – Pitt police issued assault charges to a resident-student who was harassing another resident-student at the University Courts.
