Sophia Upton, freshman psychology major

“I want to focus on getting better grades and a higher GPA,” Upton says.

She recently decided that she wishes to become a child consultant and needs to go to law school to make it happen.

Anastasia Mailey, junior biological sciences major

For her New Year’s resolutions, Mailey says that she will also focus on school.

Her main focus is studying and doing well in her classes in the hopes of getting her degree and working in a genetics lab.

But there’s more:

“I also want to try putting myself out there for dating and see where that goes,” Mailey says.

For 2026, Marredy says she wants to focus on school and “stay on top” of her grades. She wishes to stay consistent and maintain a high GPA throughout the semester.

Cantu says that for her 2026 New Year’s resolution, she wants to stop procrastinating.

“If I don’t, I’ll fail,” Cantu says.
