As spring turns into summer, Pittsburgh offers a variety of events and activities to celebrate the warm weather and foster a sense of community for both locals and visitors.
With both annual favorites and new events, there are many options to explore.
On May 16–17, the annual Millvale Music Festival will take place at various bars, breweries, outdoor spaces, and community centers in the Millvale neighborhood. The free event will feature over 300 local bands, musicians, visual artists, comedians, spoken word performances, and food trucks, making it a perfect outing for a date, friends, or family.
Multiple farmers markets will pop up around Pittsburgh, offering fresh produce, plants, specialty items, and coffee. Bay 41, located at 115 41st Street in Lawrenceville, will host its farmers market starting May 20, from 3–7 p.m. every Tuesday.
On the East End of Pittsburgh, Liberty Green Park, located at 100 Larimer Avenue, will hold its farmers market on Mondays from 3–7 p.m., starting June 2.
The annual Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix will take place July 19–20, 2025, with a 10-day motorsport festival featuring races, car shows, and parties, culminating in Race Weekend. Food and drinks will be available through various stands and trucks throughout the event.
Later in the summer, from August 15–18, Pittsburgh’s Little Italy Days will be held on Liberty Avenue in Bloomfield, stretching from Ella Street to Gross Street. The event celebrates Italian culture with a Bocce tournament, performances by an authentic Italian accordionist, an Earth, Wind & Fire tribute band, the Little Miss Italy Pageant, and Italian food trucks. It’s a perfect chance to immerse yourself in Italian culture for the weekend.
These events help create a sense of community throughout the spring and summer, providing fun and festive activities to look forward to.
