Though spring is taking its time to settle in at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, the campus sports teams are in full swing, making big plays on the field.

Jacob Oberdorf, head of the Sports Information Department and part of the athletics staff for four academic years, shared that Pitt-Greensburg’s spring sports teams are in the heart of their AMCC schedules.

“They’re all playing well and are in good positions to earn AMCC playoff berths,” Oberdorf said. “They’ve come a long way, finding their stride and really giving it their all.”

As the spring semester nears its end, Pitt-Greensburg’s sports teams are balancing the pressures of preparing for playoffs and finals. Despite the challenges, they continue to push forward both in the classroom and on the field.

Students can support Pitt-Greensburg’s teams by attending the AMCC baseball tournament at Point Stadium in Johnstown. Pitt-Greensburg will serve as one of the hosts for the tournament, marking a first for the campus.

In other sports news, Coach Myers, head softball coach, recently earned his 100th win with the team.

Additionally, James Domer, a junior pitcher for the Bobcats, was ranked among the top five hitters in Division III for March.

Congratulations to Coach Myers and James Domer for their individual accomplishments this spring.
