On Thursday, March 27, the head of events coordinator announced that a mandatory pajama day will be held on the third Friday of every month. This new tradition is designed to allow students and faculty to relax and feel more comfortable before the weekend.

Faculty will also participate, as it provides them with a fun break from their usual routine. Joining in on the lightheartedness gives everyone a chance to bond during the semester.

To promote the event, posts will be shared on the Pitt-Greensburg Instagram and website. These posts will not only spread the word but also encourage students to join in and share their school spirit.

Students often rely on fun events like these to help them manage stress during tough times, such as midterms and finals.

Pitt-Greensburg takes pride in fostering a strong sense of community. Many events are created to help students connect with each other and form lasting relationships.

This simple, fun event gives students something to look forward to while allowing them to wear their favorite comfortable clothes.

Many students are excited about this new tradition. Katherine Dansak, a junior at Pitt-Greensburg, shared her enthusiasm: “I’m so excited for pajama day. I love wearing my pjs, and I think this will be a fun event for students to feel comfy during class.”

Yukon Ebbitt, a Pitt-Greensburg graduate, also supports the idea.

“Why not be comfortable while in class? It gives everyone an excuse to wear something that makes the day feel a little less tiring,” he said.

Long days of classes and hard work deserve a break, and Pajama Day offers a fun way to make campus life a little more relaxed. After all, pajama day has been a popular tradition in schools for years—why not bring it to Pitt-Greensburg?
