Support a Cause: See Pitt Fight
by Jeremy Zulka
Pro wrestling is a favorite pastime for many, with the intense and dramatic clashes inside the ring drawing in hundreds, if not thousands, of fans depending on the event.
Pitt Fight is Pitt-Greensburg’s only club dedicated to professional wrestling, both live and through the screen. Founded by two students after attending an indie wrestling event, the club aimed to bring that experience closer to campus.
Now, six years after its founding, Pitt Fight has become one of the biggest clubs on campus, hosting major events, including an annual charity match, thanks to the passion of its founders.

On Friday, March 21, 2025, the fifth annual charity match, Pitt Fight: Victory Through Violence, will take place, with proceeds benefiting Make-A-Wish. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for Pitt students. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and matches begin at 7.
Kyle Harper, one of the co-founders of Pitt Fight and the current advisor, recently sat down to discuss the event.
“You don’t have to love wrestling to be in Pitt Fight,” Harper said. “The event is open to everyone and can be fun even if you know nothing about wrestling.”
The club hopes to attract more students to the event and get them connected to the community, even bringing in more well-known talent to boost involvement.
Pitt Fight’s annual matches have benefited charities such as Habitat for Humanity and St. Jude’s. This year, the Make-A-Wish Foundation was chosen due to its long-standing connection with wrestling and its mission to fulfill the wishes of terminally ill children.
Not only is the event for a good cause, but the club hopes it will also provide a sense of community for students.
With 10 matches scheduled for Victory Through Violence, this year’s Pitt Fight is a must-see and supports a worthy cause.
