Fight or be Forgotten

Pitt Fight will host its charity match, “Fight or be Forgotten,” this Friday, March 22. This is the fifth year that they have held this match. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the bell time is at 7 p.m. Student admission is $5 and general admission is $10. All proceeds are donated to charity.
Kyle Harper, one of the founders of Pitt Fight and the club’s current adviser, said, “The goal of Pitt Fight is to expose college students to professional wrestling. We put on matches for shows and raise money for charities across the area.”
Pitt Fight raises money for many organizations like Connor’s Cure which is affiliated with the WWE.
“They raise money for cancer research. We did that for our first two shows. We have donated to Joy Riders, which helped people get bikes or something like that,” said Harper. “Our most recent show, in 2022, was donated to St. Jude’s, and this upcoming show on the 22 will go to Central Westmoreland Habitat for Humanity.”
Kyle Harper is also a Pitt-Greensburg graduate and a current resident director for the school.
Pitt-Fight’s current president, Terah Shoup, said, “This year’s event is co-sponsored with Prospect Pro Wrestling or 2PW. They lent us their ring and most of their wrestlers. There are 10 matches, including a 15-man royal rumble called the Bobcat Brawl, a Habitat for Humanity-themed match, and a women’s match. We will have basket raffles open to students and those who attend the show and a concession stand run by Phi Eta Sigma.”
Five campus organizations are helping with Pitt Fight this year: Pitt-Greensburg’s Habitat for Humanity, which built a small house to be used as a prop during a match, RHA, OACS, Phi Eta Sigma, and SAB.
