Join the cross-country team as they host the Bobcat 5k, an around-the-campus road race on March 23 at 9:15 a.m. Participants will start on Tosatto Drive near Smith Hall and run all over campus competing for the best time. This race is part of a two-race series, the first race having already taken place on March 3.

Jeremy Eshleman, the head cross-country coach and organizer of the event, says that the races are not only meant to be a fundraiser for the team but also to bring attention to the team and the campus itself.

“Fundraising is one of the goals, I would say also to bring recognition to the cross-country team and Pitt-Greensburg’s campus as a whole,” says Eshleman. “I feel like it’s a good way to get people who normally wouldn’t be on campus to be there.”

Eshleman also says that if anyone mentions this article when paying, they will receive a $5 discount on their sign-up fee. To get the discount, you can pay in person on the day of the race or reach out to him at jee111@pitt.edu. To sign up online, click here.
