My Fitness Center Experience

During the summer between my senior year of high school and freshman year of college, there was one place I decided to spend four days of my week. A place that made me better, stronger, and happier — certainly, a place where I could exercise.

The Aerobic Center in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, at Lynch Field.

Lifting at my local gym became a hobby for me over the summer months. However, once school began, my fall semester schedule would not allow me to continue to lift at the Ronnie Andrews Fitness Center here at Pitt-Greensburg. However, I knew that I would want to start lifting once again in the fitness center, and so I did.

It was one of the better decisions I have made during my freshman year.

The fitness center is an amazing place. You have the opportunity to socialize, become stronger, healthier, and better yourself.

The fitness center has greatly challenged me and has helped in terms of my personal development, that is certain.

Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Fitness Center Coordinator at Pitt-Greensburg, Chris Klimchock, agrees that going to the fitness center is helpful for personal development.

“It goes hand and hand with keeping students active and giving balance to their lives here as college students. It’s good to see the number of students around campus that utilize it,” Klimchock said.

I go to the fitness center four days a week and use 10 different machines. Two days a week I do one group of five, two days the other group of five. Then I go to the dumbbell area to lift those.

Lifting isn’t always the easiest. It’s definitely a challenge for me. However, when it’s all done and over with for the day, it feels rewarding.

Going to the fitness center has been one of the best decisions I have made here at Pitt-Greensburg, and it will be one of the best decisions for you as well.
