The women’s soccer team represented Pitt-Greensburg well throughout their quest to win back-to-back Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) championships. Although the team did not run it back, the girls still had an amazing season.

Sophomore Maya Wertelet looked back at what the best moment of the season was to her.

“My favorite memory from this season would be the ring ceremony that we had after winning the AMCC Championship in 2022. Last year’s seniors came back for it, and they stayed to watch our game against Alfred State,” Wertelet said.

The team had a memorable season to remember this year.

“We made a lot of history this season, from earning our first ever win at Highmark Stadium, to beating Penn State-Altoona at home for the first team,” Wertelet said.

The team begins preparation in hopes of reclaiming the AMCC title in 2024.
