On Tuesday, Nov. 7, Americans will head to the polls to cast their ballots. And Dr. Paul Adams, associate professor of political science and advisor to the Pitt-Greensburg College Democrats, says it’s never been so important for voters to show up.
“It is important, especially for younger voters, to get used to voting procedures and processes for all elections, not just in presidential election years” says Dr. Adams, referring to the importance that young voters vote in all elections, not just presidential ones.
“There are so many offices up for grabs,” Dr. Adams said.
A number of key statewide races are up for election, including State Supreme Court, and Commonwealth, and Superior Court. County commissioners are up for election this year as well.

According to Dr. Adams, Pitt-Greensburg plans to hold a voter registration drive on campus. The date and time will be announced soon.
“Finally, with all the false and conspiratorial claims about voter fraud and rigged elections, it is good to see how it actually works at the polling locations and even talk to the election workers. Once you do that, the idea of fraud becomes a lot less tenable” he also says.
“It’s very crucial that all Pitt-Greensburg students participate in our democracy by voting on Nov. 7,” Dr. Adams said.
