Interested in world travel? Come visit the Study Abroad Fair.
The Study Abroad Fair will be hosted in the Hempfield Room in Chambers Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Julie Shannon, Global Studies coordinator and coordinator of the Study Abroad Fair, wants to get more people involved in the program. No one has been in the role as the study abroad program leader since before the pandemic.
“My goal is just to bring awareness to study abroad again,” Shannon said, “I want to let people know that someone’s in the role again and just to inform students about these opportunities.”
Pilar Herr, associate professor of history at Pitt-Greensburg, said she is looking forward to the Study Abroad program starting up again.
“This is the first Study Abroad fair since before the pandemic, so this is exciting, I am very excited about it,” Herr said.
Spain, England, Argentina, Bolivia, New Zealand, France, Switzerland, and Rome are all locations that students have an opportunity to explore and learn about for this upcoming event.
The Global Studies department invites all students to attend this Wednesday and see what world travel opportunities Pitt-Greensburg has to offer.
